Abdel Aziz is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of the strategy and investment advisory firm Richat-Partners.

Formerly, and during more than twenty years, he as occupied several strategic roles for the Mauritanian state. In particular, he has been in charge of several Ministries : Ministry of Economy and Industry, Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, Ministry of Digital Transformation, Innovation and Modernization of Administration. He has been also in charge of the Civil Service, the Health Insurance. This last role has allowed him to understand the challenges of development through a global vision and a fairly wide spectrum of skills. And last, he has been Governor of the Mauritanian Central Bank for five years.

With a multidisciplinary background (Computer Science, Management, Economics, Governance) and a graduate of several universities, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland, University of Orléans in France, in particular, Mr. Dahi has nearly 30 years of experience in public administration, including nearly 20 years in the Mauritanian senior civil service.

He has represented his country in several international institutions – Governor for Mauritania in major international organizations: IMF, World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, Arab Monetary Fund, IFAD, G5 Sahel, etc. – negotiated and implemented several reform programmes and conventions, which enabled it to acquire a good knowledge of development issues at the international, regional or sub-regional levels, whether economic, banking, financial or security.
