Patrick, General (Ret), is Academic Director of the College of Advanced Security and Defense Studies (CHESD) of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC), in Kinshasa. He supervises the annual training of 36 generals and colonels in the operational, strategic and geopolitical fields.
Since 2018, he has been teaching at the Institute of International and Strategic Relations (IRIS) PARIS, at Sciences PO Bordeaux and at the Catho in Lille, in the fields of French defense policy, initiation to military strategy and the role of intelligence in anticipation.
Prior 2018, he served 36 years in the Air Force, and he spent the past 7 years in business consulting (strategy, crisis management, leadership). During his last position in the Air Force, 2012/2014, he commanded the Strategic Air Forces (FAS), in charge of implementing the air component of the French nuclear deterrent, which gives him great expertise in geopolitics in terms of nuclear deterrence. He regularly intervenes in the television and radio media on the topics of military strategy, defense and security. During his military career, 1978/2014, he commanded the Djibouti air base (1000 people), worked in crisis management staffs where he held a variety of leadership roles and participated in multinational operations (NATO, US, Libya, Kosovo, Tchad). He is chairman of the French Air Wings Foundation and of the French Fighter Association.
